It’s been a while since I posted about some of my staple makeup for every day wear. I’ve spent years perfecting my routine and tested out hundreds of products. Of course I’m always discovering new things I love but when it all boils down, here are the things I find my self grabbing for the most. I’m thinking of doing a get ready with me video on stories or IG TV so you can see the whole process but for now I’m sharing it here. At a glance this looks like a lot of stuff-but I kid you not this entire routine takes 10-15 minutes TOPS!

MOISTURIZE I always put on moisturizer before I apply any makeup. Sometimes I just moisturize instead of using primer some days I do both. My hands down favorite is Tula’s Hydrating Day and Night Cream! I use it 1-2 times a day and it’s just SO SO GOOD! I’m really picky about texture and this just feels so good on! I cannot tell you enough times how good it is. I swear by Tula! Tula was kind to give me a discount code for you guys SWEETNEWYORK for 20% off your order. You could also start out with one of their kits to get a feel for the line. You will be obsessed!

PRIME When I do use a primer I have a couple favorites!

I love One Heck of a Blot from Soap and Glory this is a great affordable drugstore find and they have it at Target. It’s smooth and has a nice finish to it.

I also love this primer from MAC

For Setting Spray I reccomend either this spray from MAC or This spray from Urban Decay

CONCEAL I often suffer from cystic acne (I have PCOS)  which leaves scarring and red spots which can make coverup tricky. I love using this corrector in shade medium from IT Cosmetics it literally paints away my blemishes. It’s SO GOOD. After that I use this CC Cream also from IT COSMETICS also in the shade medium. I get great coverage from it and I often prefer it over foundation it really does the trick without caking and the added weight and lasts all day for me.

POWDER After the CC cream I like to add some powder just to mattify and get a little more coverage. There are two that I love. This compact from IT COSMETICS in Medium and This compact from MAC in shade NC30

BRIGHTEN I like to do a little brightening under the eye by adding a few strokes underneath and blend it in. I love Shape Tape from Tarte! I have two shades of it that I alternate with: Light Sand and Light Neutral

LIGHT CONTOUR I apply a few strokes of the color SCULP from THIS PALETTE along my cheekbones and blend. It defines the shape of your face and gives a nice bronze. I also sometimes sweep a little bit of the STROBE  from the same palette for some highlight.

BLUSH after the light contouring I usually use my all time favorite blush from MAC in the shade Blush Baby  I’ve been using this for years and LOVE IT.

BRONZE I like to sweep some bronzer around the edges of my face and forehead and blend for a little more color and definition. I have a few favorites. I love this one from Sephora’s in house brand it’s a combo of 3 colors and I just swirl the brush around it and grab all the colors in one it’s the baked sculpting trio. This next bronzer is from TOM FORD in 01 gold dust is a bit on the pricey side but I think it’s so worth it if you can afford the splurge.

EYESHADOW For an every day look I stick to my usual colors: Purples and Golds. I apply the darker shade on my lid and crease and blend and then go over it with a golden color and then gradually move up to a lighter color to highlight my brow line. My holy grail palette for a few years was the Natural Love palette from Too Faced but they unfortunately discontinued it. They did however come out with this palette which is a smaller version  of it which has my favorite shades from the old palette so it’s still great. I recently got THIS PALETTE from Morphe (fall into frost) and it’s amazing and you can’t beat the price it has gorgeous purple and gold hues that will work for day or night and the quality is TOP NOTCH!!  A third favorite is THIS PALETTE from The Balm. The packaging is adorable by the way. It’s neutral and great for that “no makeup makeup” effect.

BROWS I’m forever perfecting my brow routine. My brows are CURLY. LIKE I HAVE JUNGLE BROWS LOL. Each hair goes in a different direction and they are so long. I stopped waxing almost 2 years ago to grow them out so I could perfect them and slowly but surely they are starting to look like sisters because as we all know they can’t be twins. This is MY FAVORITE brow brush EVER it’s by SMITH and its #214 Spoolie Brush. There are a few brow pencils I like. I like both the Brow Wiz and The Brow Definer in Medium Brown by Anastasia , This one from Hourglass in warm brunette, and this one from IT COSMETICS (it’s universal). Additionally I use this 24 hour brow setter from Benefit and their Brow Volumizer as well and their 3D Browtones If I really want to have a great brow day

LASHES I very rarely wear faux lashes but if I do I use either ARDELL  or KISS. For Ardell I like the natural  or the wispies  For the Kiss Lashes these are my favorite and also this is the glue that I use. I have a few mascaras that I swear by: This one from BENEFIT-it’s so good and makes your lashes super long, it doesn’t clump and looks natural. For fuller thicker lashes I love this mascara from TOO FACED.

LIPS I usually stick to mauve-y, rosy or nude colors. This lipstick from Urban Decay in the shade BACKTALK has been my ride or die these days. My favorite drugstore lispticks from Covergirl are shade 265 romance mauve, shade 340 delicious  When I’m wearing a neutral lip I like to go over it with THIS GLOSS From Chanel shade 722. A couple other favorites are THIS STAIN from YSL Beauty in Shade 7 medium nude, This lipstick by Chanel in shade 436 Maggy

And that’s really it. Of course I have so much makeup I receive to try out and review so I often find new favorites but these for the most part are what I have been loving lately and a lot of these I’ve been using for years. All of the items I’m taking about today are things I would buy and have bought with my own money. While some of these I did learn about from receiving PR and gifts from companies, I refill them when they run out and would purchase them on my own again. This post isn’t sponsored this is coming completely from me. I’d never share products I didn’t like with you guys.
